Prepare your car for spooky season!

The temperatures are dropping, and we are seeing pumpkin spice everything, everywhere. There’s a lot to do to get ready for the colder days and prepping your car should be on that list. While we love seeing our customers, we want everyone to stay safe and take precautions for the fall and winter seasons.

As we creep into October the foliage is beginning to change, and the leaves are starting to fall. To avoid a collision, it is important to get your tires and brakes checked. Driving over wet leaves can have the same risk as hitting ice because both will make your tires less effective when trying to stop or slow down. In addition to making sure your tires have good tread, make sure you take it slow during those rainy fall days.

The darker days are ahead of us, so it’s important to make sure your headlights are bright and clear. Around this time of year deer will become more active, so always be mindful while driving in the dark and keep an eye out for wildlife hanging out in the grass on the side of the road. Keeping your windshield clean by replacing your wipers or replacing the glass if there are cracks or chips, will also clear up your view for safer driving in the dark. Here at Conestoga Collision, we often are called upon to do auto glass replacements, so if you notice a chip or crack in your windshields, windows, or sideview mirrors, call us today to get an estimate!

Chances are the heat in your car hasn’t been turned on since early spring, so make sure to give it a test run before it gets too cold outside. You don’t want that morning chill to have you frozen by the time you get to work.

These simple checks will help you be safer and more comfortable this fall season. We hope that as the days get colder and darker, you and your family are safe out on the roads. If you do find yourself in need of any collision repair services including auto body repair, aluminum body repair, paintless dent repair, and auto glass replacement give us a call at (610) 644-1000 and we will be happy to provide you quality services.
